Macutex was engaged by Jacobs Engineering to undertake a large asset condition data collection programme throughout 2015. A room by room asset condition assessment was conducted at more than 20 of Melbourne and Sydney’s most iconic buildings at precincts including Melbourne Arts Centre, Federation Square, Museum Victoria, National Gallery, State Libraries and Art Galleries.
Key success factors for the project was Macutex’s ability to quickly scale-up for a large audit program in a relatively short time period; experience in conducting assessments in highly populated and sensitive operating environments; high level of client stakeholder and site personnel engagement; and experience in complex scheduling resource and works scheduling.
Asset assessments included building structure, fabric, building services, fit out, plant and equipment, and site infrastructure. The collected data was utilised by the client as the basis for developing future works programs and asset management plans.
