Capital Works Recording and Stakeholder Engagement Package
Manage and promote your works project in 3D
Request a QuoteTechnology innovation is advancing within the facility and asset management sector faster than ever before. One such trend is the onsite scanning and digital representation of the built environment as 3D models, commonly referred to as reality capture, or sometimes – in the right context – digital twins.
The success of new build construction and capital works programs requires the ability to have a detailed understanding of the quality of works throughout the project, comprehensive record keeping and engagement with key stakeholders throughout the process. Reality capture and 3D models can assist in derisking program delivery and outcomes.
Introducing Macutex’s Capital Works Recording and Stakeholder Engagement Package.
What is it?
A defined package of activities and support information to comprehensively record your capital work activities in a 3D interactive visual manner before, during and after the works
Request a QuoteWho's it for?
People who:
- have job role responsibility for delivering capital works associated with buildings and adjacent site assets, and

- don’t know how to go about it or how to demonstrate business value.
What's the process and what's included?
Your Capital Works Recording and Stakeholder Engagement Package includes the following:

- During the works at applicable stages of activity completion, e.g. foundations pre concrete pour, frame installation, stormwater drainage system trench excavation, following electrical rough in and before plasterboard installation, post asbestos removal, contractor payment milestones, etc. Multiple scans can be undertaken at different project stages depending on the complexity and duration of the project
- The final site conditions following total works completion
- Tagging and annotation of the 3D models with applicable supporting information as provided to Macutex, e.g. existing pdf reports such as asbestos removal certificates, image/video files, URL links, text (up to 10 tags per model) that enhances the end user interactive experience
- Access to the model and full functionality such as tags and annotations, ability to take measurements in the model, and view the model from different perspectives, via a URL link in any web-browser, i.e. no software required. This accessible link can be shared amongst stakeholders and restricted with passwords if required
- A 3D model functionality user guide to ensure you get the most out of your 3D model experience
- A scaled and dimensioned internal digital floor plan of the facility following completion of the capital works in pdf and AutoCAD format if applicable
- Hosting of the 3D model for a period of 6 months after capture
- Provision of spatial and digital files associated with the 3D models at the end of the 6-month hosting period, or sooner if required, for your archive records, including:
- The universally accessible E57 spatial file that can be imported into any other spatial visualisation platform and/or design software applications such as AutoDesk and Revit
- Image files
- Video walk through files

How does the process work?
-
Macutex’s seven step process makes the implementation of the Capital Works Recording and Stakeholder Engagement Package as administratively easy as possible for you.
- You complete the request for quotation form with details such as project location, type and duration of proposed works, and indication of required mid-project scan points
- You will receive a fixed lump sum quotation based on the pricing structure shown below
- After accepting the quotation and making an initial part payment, your capital works project is registered in our delivery system for activation including your anticipated delivery schedule and milestone dates. Initial registration is required to be completed with a minimum five working days prior to any works being conducted on site to ensure adequate time to schedule and capture a fully representative ‘before’ 3D Model
- The initial ‘before’ scan is scheduled and completed prior to any works commencing and the associated 3D model is prepared with any applicable tags and annotations supplied by you, and made available online
- Throughout the project period, you notify Macutex, with agreed notice periods, when mid project work scans are required and Macutex attends site and conducts the necessary reality capture and preparation of the associated 3D models, making these available throughout the project period
- You notify Macutex when all project works have been completed and Macutex attends site and conducts the final scan and preparation of the associated 3D model
- Macutex packages up all applicable content and makes this available to you as follows:
- Hosting of the 3D model for a period of 6 months after project completion
- Provision of spatial and digital files associated with the 3D models at the end of the 6-month hosting period, or sooner if required, for your archive records, including:
- The universally accessible E57 spatial file that can be imported into any other spatial visualisation platform and/or design software applications such as AutoDesk and Revit
- Image files
- Video walk through files
What's my investment?
The Capital Works Recording and Stakeholder Engagement Package is priced as follows
- A base fee inclusive of the items listed above comprising two (2) separate scans on site and associated 3D models, i.e. before works and after full works completion
- A fee per additional site scan and 3D model during the project based on project requirements, i.e. nominated stages for specific asset installation, contractor performance/payment milestones, etc. These specific mid-project captures are discussed and confirmed as part of the initial package setup process.
